This is an 8½" x 11" reprint of two pages (April 20, 1939) from Lionel's Chief Engineer, Joseph Bonnano's personal diary.  These pages describe the "requirements for couplers RF control system."  This was well ahead of the 4109WS Electronic Control Set issued in 1946.

An exciting piece of history.
